Rustic Wreath- Quick and Easy DIY Project

This is just a quick post on a very quick and easy DIY project that I did this afternoon.  It literally took less then half an hour.  I wanted a rustic wreath to hang on the front of my Shabby Chic Armoire that I made for my bedroom, but I couldn't find anything that I liked at any of my usual stores- Homesense or Michaels.  So I decided to make my own. I happened to have a mini grape-vine wreath that I had made a Christmas mobile with, and it already had some branches with off-white sparkly berries on it.  I really didn't want the sparkly berries, so I used a sea sponge and some sage green craft paint to cover them lightly with paint.  I hot glued a few more of  the same same berry covered branches onto the wreath  ( I had some left over from a previous project).
I like the simplicity of the wreath, and the front of the armoire just needed a little something.

The next thing I did was made a wreath hanger with a simple piece of fabric that I ripped into a long piece, a piece of co-ordinating organza ribbon and three strands of jute cord.  I just layed all the layers together and wrapped them around the wreath and hung it from the back of the armoire door.  That's it- it didn't cost me a thing, and took less then 30 minutes to make.  That's my kind of project.  Here's a few more pics so you can see the hanging apparatus.

Here's some more pictures of the entire armoire with the wreath.  I think you'll agree that it looks more finished with the wreath on it.

Hope you like it.  I know I do.

Until next time- Au Revoir.
